Script Writer

Responsibilities:

  1. Scriptwriting

    • Write and format scripts according to industry standards.
    • Develop engaging dialogue, character arcs, and cohesive storylines.
    • Break down the story into acts, scenes, and sequences.
  2. Concept Development

    • Create outlines, treatments, or pitches to present ideas to producers or studios.
    • Develop loglines and synopses for marketing and pitching purposes.
  3. Revisions and Edits

    • Edit and revise scripts based on feedback from stakeholders.
    • Ensure the script meets the requirements of the production, including tone, pacing, and runtime.
  4. Research and Background Work

    • Study relevant subjects, settings, or time periods to enhance realism.
    • Conduct interviews or collaborate with experts when necessary.
  5. Collaboration and Meetings

    • Participate in creative discussions with producers, directors, and other writers.
    • Be available for consultations during production to address on-the-spot changes or concerns.
  6. Understanding the Medium

    • Tailor scripts to the specific medium, whether it’s a feature film, TV series, web series, or stage play.
    • Write with an understanding of visual storytelling for screenplays and dramatic staging for theater.
  7. Deadlines and Professionalism

    • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality writing.
    • Handle feedback professionally and make changes promptly.
